Best Trailer Hitch for Bike Rack On a 2019 Honda CR-V

I have a 2019 Honda CR-V and need to install a trailer hitch for a bike rack, what do you recommend?

There are two great trailer hitch options for your 2019 Honda CR-V, the Curt Receiver Hitch part # C13397 and the Draw-Tite Receiver Hitch part # 76128. The main difference between these is that the Curt Receiver Hitch has a hidden cross tube which means only the receiver tube portion will be shown once installed (see photo 1) whereas the Draw-Tite Receiver Hitch has a visible cross tube which means both the cross tube and receiver tube portion will be shown once installed (see photo 2).

The Curt Receiver Hitch however does require a slight trimming of a plastic underbody panel which is how it is able to obtain the hidden design whereas the Draw-Tite Receiver Hitch does not require any trimming so that is something to keep in mind as well. I have attached install videos of both options for you.

For a bike rack, the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack part # KU74FR is my personal favorite as it is lightweight therefore easy to take on and off the vehicle and it has an open design which makes it easier to load as you can just walk your bikes right onto the rack without lifting too much. The Kuat Transfer will also clear the rear bumper while folded up with either hitch.
