Recommended Winch For Vertically Lifting Light Loads With Limited Handle Space
Question:
I saw the answer regarding the chandelier, and how the use of a worm-gear winch would require too much unnecessary cranking given the modest weight. That makes alot of sense. However, my challenge is that I want to install a winch to raise and lower a laundry rack in a laundry room full of hanging wet clothes, which will have some weight but not much. Because I have to install the winch on the wall, I dont know how I could use this item as there wouldnt be sufficient clearance for the crank. Suggestions?

The best option we have for you to help lift your laundry rack would be with the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch part # DL16003 because it has a ratchet handle that does not require full rotations to turn the drum. This winch inclides a strap with a spring-loaded safety hook and a look. I attached a review video for you to check out.
