Trailer For Mobility Scooter Hauled by 2011 Toyota Camry
Question:
2011 CAMRY. I believe that I can only have a class 1 or 2 trailer hitch on this type of car. Are there any trailers for this type of hitch to transport a small mobility scotter?

You are correct that your 2011 Toyota Camry will have a hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver such as the Class II Draw-Tite # 36416, as that is the only size hitch made for this car. Since you are looking to pull a small trailer with this car you will need wiring, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118482, to power your trailer lights. This hitch also requires Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitch # 36071 and 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256.
The reason you want that size hitch ball is because the best option we have for a trailer that can work with a mobility scooter is the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6 which has a coupler that accepts a 1-7/8" hitch ball.
The bed of the Detail K2 measures 72" long x 48" wide x 7-1/2" tall so you will need to measure your mobility scooter to see if it will fit that size bed. To load your scooter it will be easiest to do with ramps such as the Erickson Arched Loading Ramp Set # EM07435. You will also need tie-downs like # IMF12637.
I have added links to installs and video reviews for you to check out as well as a link to our selection of tie-down straps.
