Chris Will the Blue Ox baseplate bolt up the same as the roadmaster baseplate?

I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster and he said that the Replacement Driver Side Arm C001477 will not fit your existing Roadmaster 1559-1 base plates. He said that the weldments for your particular base plate kit are no longer available so your only real option at this point is to replace the entire kit.

If you were to go with another Roadmaster Base Plate Kit like part # RM-521559-4, which is confirmed to fit your 2007 Honda CR-V, you would still need to add the Adapter # RM-032 to connect with your Blue Ox Tow Bar.

Since you are needing to replace your base plates anyway I recommend going with a Blue Ox setup that's directly compatible with your existing tow bar. For this the Blue Ox # BX2246 will work perfectly. It features hidden reinforcements and removable bracket arms to allow for a clean appearance on the CR-V when it's not being towed and it's made right here in the USA.

I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2246 is custom-designed for your 2007 Honda CR-V just like your older Roadmaster 1559-1 Kit but the mounting brackets are a bit different. The Blue Ox assembly is going to bolt more to the sides of the frame rails than what you currently have. I have attached the complete installation instructions for the Blue Ox Base Plates that you can look through to see exactly how it installs.
