Is Weight Distribution Hitch Weight Added to Trailer

Question:

I have added a weight distrubition hitch to the frame of my Sol Intech travel trailer. I would like to load the trailers cargo using the 60/40 split. I wanted to know if the Propride hitch weight should be added to the cargo weight or the dry weight of the trailer? If it was cargo weight, we were going to add the weight as part of the 60 of cargo that is in the front section of the trailer. Is this correct?

While we don't carry the ProPride line so I cannot speak specifically to how it works, with weight distribution systems that we carry such as the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET and Strait-Line # RP66084, the weight of the system itself is not added as tongue weight or cargo weight so you would not add the weight of these systems.

Unless the ProPride is somehow dramatically different than these systems - and from what I saw online it doesn't look like it - the weight of this hitch won't count either.
