As long as your 2011 Scion xB is not a Release model, you can use the Curt trailer hitch # 12490. This is a Class II trailer hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. The bike rack you choose will need to fit in the 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link to a video showing a typical installation of the trailer hitch for you.
While there are some bike racks that fit on a ball mount, most bike racks actually fit in the receiver opening. For a trailer hitch mount bike rack that is compatible, I recommend the Swagman Trailhead, # S63360. This is a 2 bike rack with anti-sway cradles and the ability to fold down to allow greater access to the rear of the vehicle. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
You could also use a trunk mount bike rack which does not require a trailer hitch. I have included a link to the options that will fit your xB.
