The Edge Insight CS2, part # EP84030, is not a tuner type of programmer. It can display several parameters and allows you to monitor them but you cannot tune the engine with it. It will not add horsepower, torque, or change any of the factory settings on your 2006 Chevrolet Impala. It can be used with other performance chips to track and monitor your newly tuned engine.
Some of the parameters you can monitor are listed below:
Battery Voltage
Intake Air Temperature (IAT)
Engine Oil Pressure (EOP)
Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT)
Engine Oil Temperature (EOT)
Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT)
Miles Per Hour (MPH)
Miles Per Gallon (MPG)
Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
1/4-mile and 0 - 60 times
The performance chips that I have for the 3.5 liter engine in your Chevrolet Impala will only monitor performance and not increase horsepower or torque. The only performance chips that increase horsepower and torque are for the 5.3 liter engine in the Impala.
