If your 2007 Ford Mustang is an automatic then you would need to use a drive shaft coupling (disconnect) to flat tow it. Typically vehicle manufacturers don't recommend doing this so while I can't say that it is "safe" for your vehicle and recommend that you install one, I can give you a list of parts to use IF you were to install a disconnect.

The tow bar I recommend using with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2186 (which fits all models but the Shelby GT) is the Demco Dominator Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # DM9511008-BX because of how much better the Demco tow bars are over the Blue Ox options. The Dominator has an aluminum construction and is designed with the arms on top of each other so they are easier to move around. This tow bar also includes a bar to easily hold your tow bar wiring umbilical and an adjustable shank and head which basically eliminates the need for a high-low adapter bar. None of the Blue Ox tow bar options can offer these features all together.

For wiring I recommend the Demco Tow Bar Combo Kit with Diode System # DM9523057 because it not only comes with the wiring you need but it also includes a cover for your tow bar as well as locks to give you some peace of mind.

This leaves you only needing a supplemental braking system for which I recommend the Brake Buddy Classic 3 # HM39494 because it is a lightweight portable system that is reliable and comes with everything that you need for the install aside from the Relay Kit # RM-88400. It also includes a wireless controller so you can adjust settings from your RV.

I have attached some review videos for you to check out as well.
