Can Trailer 7-Way Connector Power Pump that Draws 7.5 Amps
Question:
I am looking to utilize the power and ground terminals on my 7 pin to power a 12v caravan/rv pump that has a max amp draw of 7.5. Will the trailer harness be able to handle that ?

Expert Reply:
Yes, most 12 volt accessory circuits that 7-ways have are rated for 40 amps so a 7.5 amp draw would not be an issue at all.
I attached a help article with trailer wiring diagrams for you to check out as well.
