Hitch Pin On Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack Will Not Stay In Place
Question:
When I install the ridgeback to my 1 1/4 hitch the orange caped safety pin will not stay in place. Any suggestions?

Expert Reply:
If the Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack was just purchased then most likely the wedge is not tightened correctly and you just need to redo that portion of the install process. However, if this is an older bike rack then most likely the cause of this is that the detent on the end of the pin has become too worn. Therefore, this will need to be replaced with the Replacement Hitch Pin for Yakima Hanging-Style Bike Carriers part # 889-0231.
