Does Brophy Swiveling D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # RR06 Have Capacit for Use with Car Hauler

Question:

Is this the proper D-Ring to use for a car hauler? Max static load is ~5K pounds. I know these are 2K WLL and 6K max, but it just seems a single pivoting pin wouldnt be strong enough if something went wrong with the load. I plan on cleaning the zinc off the edges and welding these in to my steel deck floor. My originals look very similar to the fixed recessed 1600 lb d-rings available, one broke for unclear reasons.

The Brophy Swiveling D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # RR06 would work great in a car hauler application like yours. Each of these has capacity of 2,000 lbs working load limit and 6,000 lbs break strength so with a few of these securing a vehicle you'd have more than enough capacity.

Welding a zinc coated steel is possible but requires a lot of ventilation!
