Trailer Spindle and Hub That Uses Grease Seal 12407 and Bearings L44643
Question:
I recently purchased a small single axle trailer that was missing the hub and the spindle is trashed. The trailer is 48 inches wide with leaf springs and the axle is below the leaf spring. The metal axle is made of channel with a square spindle end welded on each side. I cant find any markings or numbers on the good hub or spindle. However, I did find the following: HUB is 5 lug 4 1/2 Grease Seal #12407 Outer Bearing #L44643 With the above info. can you recommend a replacement hub and spindle? thanks, Mike

Expert Reply:
Based on what you mentioned the correct hub you need is the # AKIHUB-545-2-G-1K as it has same bearing, seal, and bolt pattern info. The spindle you need is a BT8 like the part # TRU97FR which is for a square application.
