Installing Down Tube for LaSalle Bristol Lavatory Sink # 34416186PPA

Question:

Does this drain pipe screw in or is it supposed to be glued in place? I am trying to replace one and am having a hard time removing the drain pipe. I am trying the replace the original drain pipe with one that has a strainer in it to catch things like a regular household sink drain. Thank You!

The down tube for the LaSalle Bristol 14-3/4" x 12-1/4" Lavatory Sink # 34416186PPA needs to be attached to the sink with an appropriate sealant or glue. It is not screwed into place.

We do have smaller strainer baskets with the LaSalle Bristol # 34439105 that will work well with this sink to keep unwanted items from going down the drain. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
