Dimensions Of Curt Weight Distribution Shank C17132

Question:

I have a 2018 ram 2500 with the Reese steady flex system, I have pulled my camper with the 2” reducing sleeve and I’m not thrilled with the slop in the hitch. I would like to know the measurement from the pin hole to the front of the shank on the curt c17132 so I can make sure I can open my tailgate with the trailer hooked up.

I went to the warehouse and measured the Curt Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitches # C17132 and it measures 9" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the vertical portion of the shank. I have attached a diagram with some other measurements I took as well that may be helpful.

I need a weight distribution shank for a 2.5 inch receiver. I need the total length of the shank to be 16'' from top of the receiver to bottom of the drop. I am using a blue ox sway pro. The curt c17132 does not give me quite enough drop and the curt c17125 drops too much. Does curt, or anybody else make a shank in between these 2? Thank you much.

The only other option we have available between those two is the Equal-i-zer # EQ94FR, which features a 9" drop.
