Question:

looking to tow airstream 25 Flying Cloud The max capacity is 7300 lbs. Hitch weight 837 lbs. Unit base is 5503. I heard from an airstream that the combination of the magnetic suspension and a weight distribution hitch was problematic. What hitch should I use?

The weight distribution system that I recommend for your Airstream Flying Cloud 25 is the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ37120ET which is largely considered to be the best on the market due to both how well it performs and its overall build quality. This is actually the only weight distribution system on the market with a forged head which makes it very strong and durable hence the lifetime warranty. It is also made in the USA.

In regards to the compatibility with your MagneRide Suspension, I have heard both good and bad even with an Airstream. I would give the two a try together but if you feel the MagneRide compromises the ride quality, you can disable this. I am sure there are a few ways to do this but if you were to physically unplug the pigtail from each side that would disable the system. The Equal-i-zer will do a better job of distributing weight and it has sway control.
