Even Brake is Braking When it Should Not Be

Question:

We tow a 2017 Jeep Wrangler behind our motorhome. We use the Evenbrake system. The braking unit slips around a little even when snugged up to the seat. It triggers the alarm that it is braking even when it is not. I’ve been told there is a part that attaches to the bar under the jeep seat that will eliminate this problem. I don’t have a part number. Suggestions??? Thanks

Expert Reply:

The Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 does not have a part that attaches to the bar under your Jeep; it is likely that whomever told you that was referring to the seat adapter for the Roadmaster BrakeMaster, which is a different system.

If you are getting braking issues it is likely the position of the adjustable seat pad needs to be adjusted up or down.
