Westin HDX Grille Guard for 2009 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

I bought a Westin HDX grill guard from a private party and was told it would fit on my truck, but it seems to be missing the brackets to mount it.. So I need to figure out which mounting kit I need. My truck is a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500. I will attach a picture of it so you can see the grill guard. Please reach out to me with what I would need! Thanks

Thank you for the photo of the Westin HDX grille guard you purchased. The specific Westin grille guards and bull bars that are confirmed to fit your 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 are shown on the linked page. These do include two of the HDX models, items # 57-2295 (black) and # 57-2290 (stainless). Your photo most closely resembles the black guard # 57-2295 and the bracket kit for it is part # 57-229PK.

You'll note that this item has brackets located between the bottom two cross tubes and your photo does not show these. It is possible the HDX guard you bought is made for another truck. We see this happen fairly often. With items like grille guards both the guard itself and the installation bracket kit for it are vehicle-specific and it is not possible to install the "wrong" guard on a vehicle even if you have the "right" mounting kit for the vehicle.

If you can find a part number on the guard I can double-check with Westin as to the vehicles it will fit.
