Question:
Hi there, I am wondering if your extension would work for my 1991 GMC 2500K series truck with 454, I’m hauling a camper and a 2horse trailer. Thanks,

As long as you have a 2-1/2 inch hitch receiver on your 1991 GMC 2500 the Curt Hitch Extension # C45048 that you referenced will work well. This will insert into the 2-1/2 inch receiver to provide you with either a 24 inch or 34 inch extension (depending on if you cut the adapter) and a 2 inch receiver on the other end. This should give you plenty of clearance to hook up to a trailer behind your in-bed camper.
If you don't have a 2-1/2 inch hitch we do have extensions available for 2 inch receivers as well. The longest such unit we have is the Curt # C45796, which measures 18 inches from hitch pin hole to hitch pin hole.
Please just keep in mind that using an adapter like this does reduce your trailer hitch's weight capacity by 50 percent. I have attached a couple video reviews that you can check out as well.
