Could Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller be Used Towing Second Trailer
Question:
Would this work on my trailer that I pull behind a 5th wheel? I currently do not have the electric brakes hooked up in parallel with the 5th wheel as the second trailer is quite a bit lighter and Im concerned about non-proportional breaking. The 5th wheel is about 13,000 lbs and the small trailer is about 4,000 lbs double axle. I had thought of wiring a second brake controller for the smaller trailer but ran across this wireless system. Please let me know if this would be a good option or if you have a different suggestion. Thanks.

If you installed a fully functional 7-way at the rear of your 5th wheel trailer and wanted to operate the brakes of it with the Curt Echo part # C51180 would work for this. The range of this is 50 feet so it might make the connectivity of it to your phone difficult depending on the length of your 5th wheel. The good news though is that if this loses connection to the phone it still works with last settings used.
