Upgraded 13 Inch Wheels/Tires for a Pontoon Boat Trailer

Question:

Can I replace my 205/65/10 with a 12 or 13 inch tire and rim? It has 4 inches space from the top of the tire to the pontoon now. I was looking at the 175/80/13 radial that you have for

The new 175/80-13 tire will be 3-1/2" larger in diameter than the old 205/65-10 tire you have now. This means you will lose around 1-3/4" of clearance. I recommend that you have at least 3" so you will be close but ultimately the choice is up to you. The next size down would be a 145/80-12 (Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire part # AM10140 with Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel part # AM20134) and you will only loose around 1/2" with this size.
