The easiest way to determine if the Thule Rack # TH9043 would clear the spare on your 2011 Toyota Rav4 would be to measure from the center of the hitch pin on the hitch out to the furthest point out on the spare tire on your vehicle. Once you have the measurement you will be able to figure out which racks will work on your vehicle and which would not.
The Thule Helium bike rack # TH9043PRO measures about 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin out to the nearest upright bar. If the measurement you took is less than that then it would work. If not, you will need to get a hitch with a longer distance from the pin hole to the upright bar, or a spare tire mounted bike rack.
The I would recommend the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Carrier # TH963PRO This is one of the best spare tire mounted bike racks we offer because of how light it is and how well it works.
I also attached a review video and installation instructions for the # TH9043PRO for you to check out.
If you plan on carrying womens or alternative framed bikes I would recommend you get a Thule Adapter Bar # TH982XT. I attached a review video for this product as well.
