The Ranch Hitch Universal 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter you referenced, part # AM3139 extends to a maximum height of 14-3/4 inches. There is not a Ranch Hitch Adapter that has a higher height adjustment.
To determine the exact height adapter you need, Jack the trailer so that it is level, and then back the truck up as if you were hitching it. Measure the distance from the bottom of the pin box (not the king pin) to the top of the gooseneck ball. (See provided diagram). This distance is the adapter height needed. You will also need to make sure there is a minimum of 6 inches clearance between the bottom of the trailer loft and the top of the truck bed side rails as shown in the diagram.
For an offset adapter, Convert-A-Ball offers a cushioned adapter that can adjust to 16 inches tall, part # CAB-C5GX1216. The internal cushions offer shock absorption for a smoother ride. This adapter is not intended for use with pickup beds shorter than 6 feet long.
