Expert Reply:
The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 is a plug and go fit when used with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3016 on your 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV. There will be no dealer programming required whatsoever. You will however need to setup the brake controller but this is easy following the step by step instructions which are included.
The port that the adapter will plug into is located up under the dash, usually near the emergency brake pedal or in that general area.
