Do I need to use a diode on my brake lights? If so, what kit do I need to use with the blue ox wiring harness and how do I install it? Thanks

For your 2006 Jeep Liberty that you plan to flat tow the best tow bar lighting solution is the custom fit Hopkins kit part # HM56203 which installs easily by plugging inline with the taillight connectors of the vehicle. No splicing required and no diodes either.

Rick, according to Blue Ox the space between the bolt holes at the end of the Demco Tow Bar Adapter for Blue Ox Base Plates #DM9523041 is 1.63" ( 1 5/8") so it'd be a quarter inch larger, and should work fine for you.
