Mounting Angle of Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller in 2007 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
Teknosha P2 install. You show mounting the controller parallel to the vehicle but at a steep angle. That is not what Teknosha indicates in the installation manual. The controller should also be within 20 degrees of level, the closer to level the better. I installed a P3 in my 05 tundra, that was easy. My 07 4Runner doesnt give me as much room and it will be more difficult to mount it in a level position.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 can absolutely be mounted at the angle shown in the linked install video of the unit in a 2004 Toyota 4Runner and in the photo I added showing it installed.
The vertical angle can be anything in a 360 degree plane; however, it does need to be parallel to the direction of travel (so essentially in a straight line) and flat, as opposed to being angled a bit to a side.
So the photo and video are absolutely acceptable ways to mount the P2.
