Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2008 Toyota Tundra 5-1/2 foot Bed
Question:
Ive got a 2008 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited Edition 5 1/2 foot bed. Looking for the right fifth wheel hitch to go with a 2019 Coachman Chaparrel 298RLS fifth wheel. Not sure which is best fit to use. I hope you can help. Thank you,

Expert Reply:
For your 2008 Toyota Tundra with a 5-1/2 foot bed there's only one slider fifth wheel hitch we offer that's going to give you the needed turning clearance to make sharp turns and that's the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550040 which will automatically slide as you make tight turns and gives 22-1/2 inches of additional clearance.
To install this hitch in the bed of your truck will then require the fifth wheel rail kit part # DM8552020-71 and you'd be set.
