How To Upgrade the 4-Way On A Honda CR-V To a 7-Way
Question:
Hello, I recently purchased a pop up camper and had everything installed that is needed to tow it. I ended up deciding that I want a battery installed on my camper as well but my mechanic said I will need a 7 way connector installed in order for the battery to charge while Im driving. I already have a four way connector installed. What would you recommend? Thank you,

In order to covert the 4-way trailer connector on your Honda CR-V to a 7-way trailer connector, I recommend using the Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7 which will not only adapt the 4-way trailer connector you have to a 7-way trailer connector but it will also still retain your 4-way trailer connection point. This kit comes with everything else that you will need for the battery charge circuit as well which is a heavy duty power wire and then the breaker for that circuit. All you will need to do for installation is plug the 7-way into the 4-way, attach the ground wire, and then run the heavy duty power wire to the vehicle's battery. The rest of the wires can be tapped off. This will then give you the ability to provide a maintenance charge for the battery on your trailer.
