2004 Pont Grand Am 2 door 3.4 L engine After removing the two 8-mm bumper bolts and associated hardware what size hole enlargement is drilled in the frame.

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36288 for your 2004 Pontiac Grand Am will require you to enlarge the two existing holes using a 1/2-inch drill bit. This is noted in step 2 of the linked instructions. I also linked a video showing this hitch installed on a 2002 Grand Am.
