4-Way to 7-Way Adapter Recommendation for Just Activating 12 Volt Accessory Circuit
Question:
I have a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country with a 4-pin towing harness. I have a very small 9foot travel trailer with a 7-pin harness. I do not need a brake controller but I would like auxiliary lights in the trailer. How do I install Part # ETBC7 without connecting the 7th wire? What do I do with that wire? Please dont say I need a break controller. I think thats overkill for both the van and the trailer. Thanks

We have a similar kit to the # ETBC7 that's more in line with your needs as the part # ETBC7L. This gives you the same 4-way to 7-way adapter but instead only gives you a single wire and breaker to connect just the 12 volt power circuit you are wanting to activate. So this would be the kit you'd want instead. You'd run the wire from the 12 volt pin of the 7-way (black wire) through the breaker to the positive post of the battery.
