12 Volt Power Connections that Get Made to Connect Jensen JWM60A
Question:
I want to replace my jensen awm 970 with the awn60a. I noticed the wiring diagram is different. My awm970 has a wire for battery power and a wire for switched power 12vdc. On the 60a there is only a wire for the 12vdc switched., no battery power wire. Would I need to combine the 2 wires from the awn970 battery power and 12vdc switched and connect to the 1 wire from awn60a the 12vdc switched? If not what do I do with the battery powered wire from the 970? Thanks for your help!

It is interesting that the Jensen Stereo part # JWM60A does not have a constant 12 volt power circuit on it's wiring connector so that means you'd only connect the switched 12 volt circuit you have now to the switch circuit in the 15 position and you'd be set. It would not take a constant power circuit.
