I would love to help but it sounds like you might have a factory integrated brake controller (ITBC) on your 2015 GMC Seirra 2500 which is malfunctioning and then causing the "No Trailer Connected" warning message. If that is the case then you will need to take your vehicle to the dealer for service as that is not something that we can help with.
That said, if you just want to get rid of the "No Trailer Connected" warning message without servicing the factory integrated brake controller (ITBC) we do have an option for you and that is to replace this with an aftermarket brake controller. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 which will outperform the factory brake controller tenfold. For installation, you can refer to the attached article on bypassing the factory integrated brake controller (ITBC).
