Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2017 Ford Focus ST Hatchback
Question:
I’m looking to put this on my focus st. My goal is to get a small light weight 4x6 trailer and haul 2 dirt bikes. Is this possible?

Curt 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch # C11431 is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Ford Focus ST Hatchback and the written instructions and a help article are linked to assist you in mounting it on your Focus. However, the online owner's manual I reviewed indicates that this "vehicle is not approved for trailer towing. Never tow a trailer with your vehicle". Your printed manual may differ so I recommend checking it. Sometimes the generalized online versions of manuals have different information.
If you choose to tow (since a 4 x 6 trailer and a couple of smaller dirt bikes may weigh only 600-lbs or so) then you will need a ball mount # C45521, a hitch ball like either 1-7/8-inch # A-80 or 2-inch # A-82 and a hitch lock # C23517. If the trailer has lights you'll also need a 4-pole wiring harness # 118674. For tie-downs for the dirt bikes you might consider # ETBMB-05852 which is a 4-piece set.
