Does Length of Curt Ball Mount # D-26 Reduce Capacity Of It

Hello, With the extended length, would this D-26 mount, be any weaker than one with similar ratings but in a shorter length? Thanks,

As long as you stay under the weight capacity of the Curt ball mount part # D-26 it's capacity would not be diminished at all. It was rated for 7,500 lbs trailer weight and 750 lbs tongue weight. The extra length does make it seem like it would be less strong but it was tested and 7,500 lbs trailer weight is perfectly safe.
