Delay From HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator HBA16 When Braking
Question:
I have a 40ft trailer with electric over hydraulic disc brakes. The brakes are now taking a few seconds before they begin to grab now, where as they used to be instant. Is this common wear? Or is this something else? Thanks in advance.

I did not see where you mentioned what electric over hydraulic actuator you are using but if it is the HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator part # HBA16 that you referenced then the first thing I recommend you check is that you are using the correct EOH setting on your brake controller. If this is confirmed I would then bleed the brakes which can be done using the attached photo.
If you still have issues with delays after you have done the above then please just let me know and we can go from there.
