If you have a 2-1/2" trailer hitch on your Chevy 2500 then you can potentially use the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer # C45048 but the weight is reduced to 6,000 lb towing/600 lb tongue and 8,000 lb towing/800 lb tongue with weight distribution. Any other extension will be about the same.
What may be a better solution for you is to use a louvered tailgate like the part # VGM-07-4000 which fits a variety of GM trucks. This is typically used for 5th wheel applications but since it has the cutout (which is about 12" deep) that should help accommodate your trailer jack. If you want a completed tailgate look when not towing you can use the Tailgate Insert # VI-4000 as well (which can be removed as needed). If you like going with this option just let me know the year of your Chevy and I can make sure that you get the correct part.
