What is Minimum Gauge Thickness to Power Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX

Question:

Hello. I have this jack and want to re-wire it with a coiled wire. I use it to elevate a tent platform on an expedition trailer and I want to coiled wire to retract nice and neat when down, and extend when up. What is the draw of this unit and what gauge of wire is required for this? Also, do you have a coiled wire option with +/- ? Thanks. I also have a question about charging my trailer battery while towing. It trickles currently, but have not seen any real gain in towed battery charge even after towing all day. Is there a charge booster I can integrate? Thanks again!

While we don't have any coiled wire that would work for powering the Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX like you are wanting to do you would need at least 10 gauge like part # 10-1-1.

This jack can draw up to 30 amps at full capacity.
