Tester Needed for OEM 7-Way on a 2019 BMW G05 X5
Question:
I am having trouble sourcing a tester that can be used on this setup. The issue seems to be that the car doesn’t seem to enable the signals, even just LT and RT, unless there is a circuit on the connector. Which makes it hard to test with “conventional” testers. Can you recommend at tester that will work?

We have found that the LED tester don't communicate well with a lot of the European cars like your 2019 BMW G05 X5. For this you will need to use a circuit tester that utilizes an incandescent bulb like the part # PTW2993. The incandescent bulb puts more of a load on the circuit which then tells the sensors in your vehicle that they need to send a signal back to the 7-Way.
