When we installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75528 on the 2014 Chevy Traverse we measured a distance of 18-1/2 inches from the ground up to the top inside portion of the receiver. This would put the middle of the receiver at about 17-1/2 inches from the ground.
This is the exact hitch I recommend for your Traverse and it will install by bolting to existing holes in the vehicle's frame for a no-drill application. I have attached the install video that you can also use for reference.
