Finding Correct 5-Bolt Trailer Wheel

Question:

On a 5 bolt 15 inch rim I measured center to center across adjacent bolts and got 2-13/16 inch . I tried a 4-3/4 inch rim. Its about 1/8 inch to short. Would a 5 inch rim work?

You seem to be right in the middle of wheel bolt patterns; if you take a look at the cut out I added of the linked help article on how to find your wheel bolt pattern you can see that when measuring from center to center of adjacent bolts holes you should get 2-3/4" or 3". The former would mean you have a 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern and the latter would mean you have a 5 on 5" bolt pattern.

Since a wheel with a 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern was too short, it would make sense that a wheel with a 5 on 5" bolt pattern such as the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel - 15" x 5" Rim - 5 on 5 - White Powder Coat # AM20428 would work, but since you mentioned you did not get 3" I would be unable to guarantee it, though I would be pretty surprised if it didn't.

I have added a link to our entire selection of 5 on 5" trailer wheels for you to check out.
