No Trailer Stop/Turn Lights On 2002 Chevy Tracker with Curt Harness C55372

Question:

I have a curt 55372 and when plugged in, i only get the running lights to work on the trailer. No brake lights or turn signals. Can you recommend what to look for being the issue?

The first thing you will want to do to troubleshoot the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55372 on your 2002 Chevrolet Tracker is test the right and left stop/turn pins inside the connector. If you don't get power here then odds are you have a ground issue or there are blown fuses for the trailer lights in your vehicle's fuse box. If you want to make sure the winning harness is working correctly you can test the pins that this plugs into.

If you do get power on the connector then the issue is on your trailer and you will need to test varying points on each stop/turn wire working your way back until the short is found. If you reach all the way back to the light then check the ground for the light. There could also be an issue with the trailer side connector ground if power is not passing though this.
