Turn Signals Hyperflash After Installing Trailer Wiring Harness on a Mitsubishi Outlander
Question:
Hi, just read your info on the harness and led lights. Prob is we dont have led lights on our trailer and it is causing our indicator lights to flash fast. How do I overcome that?

The T-One Connector with Upgraded Circuit Protected Modulite, # 118518, works with a trailer that has LED or regular incandescent lights. The type of lights on the trailer is not going o cause the problem you are experiencing. A hyperflash situation could be the result of bulb burned out on the vehicle, or the vehicle thinking there is a bulb burned out because the wiring harness was added.
There are a couple of things you are going to want to check. First, make sure that the white ground wire on the harness is connected to a clean bare metal surface on the vehicle. A bad ground connection can cause all sorts of issues.
From there, I recommend going back and performing the installation from scratch. I would start by disconnecting the negative battery cable from the battery. And the very last step after you have done all other steps and after inserting the fuse in the fuse holder should be re-connecting the cable to the battery.
I have included a link to the installation details for reference and a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
