How to Inflate Trailer Tires to Listed Max PSI on Wheels with Lower PSI Rating
Question:
I just purchased 14 ply load range G tires with max psi of 110. My wheels are stamped not to exceed 80 psi. I want to run the tires as close to the max psi as possible. What are my options?

The weak part on a trailer wheel in terms of psi capacity is usually just the valve stem itself. Replacing the existing valve stem with a metal unit like the Americana # AM20906 will allow for a maximum air pressure of up to 200 psi so you can maintain the listed 110 max psi on your new tires.
I have attached a short video review on this particular valve stem that you can check out as well.
