How Wide is Malone Crossbar Conversion Kit # MPG475 Excluding Crossbar

Who wide is the mpg475 not including the crossbars? in other words from the outside edge of fender to fender. Also, will the tongue retractor work on the xtra light trailer. Anything work to reduce the length of the xtra light trailer?
