Rock Guards for 2017 Jeep Wrangler Flat Towed Behind Motorhome
Question:
We have a Falcon 2 Roadmaster tow bar. Our hookup to our 2017 Jeep Wrangler does not include a cross bar. The tow bar fits directly into the brackets which are mounted under the jeep. Our motorhome is a 2018 Holiday Rambler Vacationer so we also have to have a down extension hitch. Can we use the Tow Defender with this set up and if yes, which one the 4700 or 4750? Thank you.

It looks like you have Roadmaster Direct Connect base plate kit # 1444-3 installed on your Jeep Wrangler and with it you can use the Tow Defender # RM-4750. I confirmed with Roadmaster that this is the correct Tow Defender for your base plate and tow bar combination.
In the event that your motorhome's exhaust directly faces the Tow Defender screen you can instead use a set of shank-mount mud-flaps to protect the Jeep. Rock Tamers heavy-duty adjustable mud flaps # ERT00108 mount directly on the 2-inch tow bar shank. The great things about the RockTamers are they are still usable when you're not flat towing, they are adjustable in width and their length can be trimmed to get you the perfect fit for ground clearance and protection from debris. Just make sure you have an inch on your tow bar shank to mount the steel collar, as shown in the diagram.
