Question:
Purchased trailer drove home. Only used a couple of times. Getting ready for the season and electronic tongue jack will not operate and keeps blowing fuses. All wires seem intact but Jack wont operate and keeps blowing fuses. Any ideas on troubleshooting?

If your electric jack is not working and you keep blowing fuses, check to ensure your ground is good the next thing you will want to check is the wiring to ensure there are none that are damaged or loose. A damaged wire, or even one that is crimped, are what would cause a short that would blow fuses. This is almost certainly the issue, because with a jack on a new trailer it is probably not going to be something like the switch. So definitely check your grounds first as this is often the issue, then move onto the wiring and thoroughly inspect it, repairing or replacing if needed.
