Does Nylon Lock Nut Need to be Removed to Remove Hi-Rise Adapter from Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

every time i remove the hitch i will have to loosen nylon nut from post in order to release locking pin? can this be done multiple times, i will be switching from gooseneck to 5th wheel a couple of times a year.

According to the installation instruction you will have to remove the nylon lock nut whenever you remove the Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # 9480 from your gooseneck hitch. You can do this multiple times without the fear of the nylon nut wearing down.
