Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for Above Bed Base Rails with Only Two Mounting Slots
Question:
Hi, I currently have hijacker rails in my truck mounted horizontally in the bed. The slots are 22” apart. Is there a Reese slider hitch that will fit these?

I do have an option for you but it looks like the above bed base rails you have now are missing the set of slots 20-1/2" apart side to side which all of the Reese sliding 5th wheel hitches use. Therefore, if you wanted to use a Reese sliding 5th wheel hitch then you would need to swap out the base rails and frame brackets as well. If you can provide me with the year, make, and model of your truck I can get you the parts that you need.
For an option that will allow you to obtain a sliding 5th wheel hitch with the frame brackets and base rails you have now you can use the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # BWRVK3270 which installs on the 29" apart slots. The B&W Patriot is a highly regarded 5th wheel hitch as the 3/4" thick dual locking jaws do an excellent job of griping the kingpin and the cam-action latching handle allows you to uncouple the trailer on uneven ground.
I have attached a photo to assist.
