OEM Style Reese Gooseneck and Fifth Wheel Hitch Rail Kit for 2018 Ford F-250

Question:

I have a 2018 F250 6.5 bed, truck doesn’t have the ford 5th wheel/gooseneck prep kit, however I do have a 5th wheel and I have the Andersen ultimate 5th wheel to gooseneck hitch....I currently have the ford prep kit on order but apparently it is back ordered and Ford can’t tell me when it will come in...I’m looking for alternative gooseneck hitch set up....I really just need the gooseneck and not the 5th wheel option the ford kit offers....is this kit a good alternative in your opinion or should I just wait it out for the oem kit to come in..sorry it’s long winded

We actually have the same OEM rail kit for your 2018 Ford F-250 which would be your best option since you said that was what you really wanted. For that you'd need the Reese Elite Rail Kit part # RP30886 and then the Elite gooseneck hitch adapter # RP30845. Reese is actually who makes the Ford rail kits so this would give you the exact same thing at a better price.
