Which Brake Wire Is Needed for Brake Controller Installation on a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado

I NEED TO KNOW WHERE TO HOOK UP THE RED WIRE FROM MY BRAKE CONTROLER UNDER MY DASH. I HAVE 2 SWITCHES ON MY BRAKE PEDEL NEITHER ONE SEEMS TO BE THE COLD SIDE OF BRAKE LITES, WHAT COLOR WIRE DO I NEED TO CONNECT TO

I looked up the 2010 Chevrolet Colorado and the two switches on your brake pedal is for the brake light and the other switch is for the traction control/cruise control. You will need to use a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, and test the wires. I would start by looking for a light blue wire and test that wire for power only when the brakes are applied.
I am including a link to a FAQ page on brake controllers. It does list some colors of the wires on vehicles that are needed when installing a brake controller. Vehicle manufacturers do change wiring configurations regularly, that is why we always recommend using a circuit tester to verify all connections.
