What Size Socket is Needed to Install Hitch in 2019 Ford Ranger
Question:
The instructions say that a 24 mm socket is required but even my 22 mm wobbles on the bolt heads, but my 13/16inch 6 point socket seems to be a perfect fit. Did Ford change the bolts?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Go with the size socket that fits the bolts best regardless of what the instructions say. That said, at one point the instructions for this hitch had the wrong size listed, but the correct size is now listed of 21 mm.
